Dr. Gary E. Bolen was born on May 13, 1969 to Gary D. and Patricia Bolen. He is one of three children raised in a small town near Mt. Vernon, Illinois. From early childhood, Dr. Bolen had a desire to help others and aspirations of becoming a doctor.
Dr. Bolen attended Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Illinois where he was active in the student council, science club, basketball, football, baseball and wrestling. In 1992, Dr. Bolen received his Bachelors of Science degree in pre-medical Zoology from Eastern Illinois University. While at Eastern, Dr. Bolen was President of the Delta Chi Fraternity and through his leadership, the fraternity was nominated for many awards including the President's Cup, the most prestigious award for an individual chapter. Dr. Bolen pursued his graduate studies at Logan College of Chiropractic and in 1996 received a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
After chiropractic college, Dr. Bolen was lured to sunny Florida, beginning his chiropractic career as an associate with a Bradenton, Florida chiropractic office. Always seeking to better himself, Dr. Bolen sought out his own practice and in 1999 made Venice, Florida his home and purchased the Venice Village Chiropractic Clinic. Since 1999, Dr. Bolen has been reaching out to the community and educating on the benefits of chiropractic care. The success of Venice Village Chiropractic enabled Dr. Bolen to open a state of the art wellness and chiropractic facility in July 2008 in the Woodmere Business Park.
Dr. Bolen participates in quarterly Chiropractic and Wellness seminars, Pettibon Spinal Correction Seminars, CLEAR Spinal Institute and is a participating Chiropractor with Maximized Living, Inc. Dr. Bolen regularly lectures on nutrition, exercise, wellness, injury prevention and stress management at local churches, schools, clubs, and businesses. He is active with the Venice Bible Church and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, boating, fishing, playing golf and volunteering for charitable organizations.
